On May 1st, a group of freshman and sophomore Cougar football players participated in the Bullseye Combine held at the Dulles Sports Plex in Sterling, Virginia.
The Bullseye Combine is designed to help give athletes a baseline of where they stand compared to the other top players of their age group. It also provides them with the necessary experience to better prepare them for the junior combine, gain early exposure to college recruiters and teach the process of college recruiting. Combine participants were tested for height/weight, 40 yard dash, vertical jump, pro agility (5 yd shuttle), bench press for reps (Freshmen-135 lbs, Sophomores-160 lbs) and standing broad jump. Those statistics are compiled into the following results: Top 25 overall 9th and 10th grade backs, top 20 overall 9th and 10th grade linemen, and top 10 in each of the tested drills for 9th and 10th grades.
